Daily Vinyasa Flow – Aloha Yoga – SUP Yoga- Yin Yoga- Children’s Yoga

Yoga for me is the practice of all of the eight limbs as described by sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras, the foundational manuscript of this system. Thus, during the retreats I lead, I combine dynamic vinyasa flows sessions with philosophy classes, pranayama and meditation.

Through the years, I have enjoyed practicing yoga with masters coming from the different lineages of Vinyasa, Ashtanga yoga, Yin yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Iyengar yoga, Sivananda, Hatha Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Yoga for Children.
All these experiences helped me shape my own unique style of teaching. In my vinyasa classes, I often follow the Ashtanga style of sequencing, exploring different postures from standing into balancing, forward bends, twists, backbends and inversions, on occasion going deeper on specific areas related to the theme of the class.

Class Description

VINYASA FLOW

In my Vinyasa flow yoga classes I try to lead students through a whole body experience that encompasses postures, mantra chanting, mudras, breathe exercises and final relaxation.  The alchemy of the asana is chosen to comprise all of the major groups of asanas and lead to a peak pose.  Kramas (variations) are offered for most postures, so that both beginners and more advanced yogi can enjoy the whole class.

Pranayama & Meditation

Respectively the fourth and fifth limbs of yoga in the system developed by sage Patanjali, these two practices are foundational for the sadhaka (practitioner) who wants to take their practice to the next level. Pranayama sessions consist of a theoretical introduction, the practice of different krias and then different technique such as viloma pranayama, sitali, kapalabhati, bhastrika, nadi shuddhi and nadi shodana. 
Meditation sessions consist of mainly prathyahara exercises (withdrawal of the sense), japa mala, mantra chanting, and visualisations.

SUP Yoga

SUP Yoga is the perfect water sport that combines being in the sea with yoga, a must-try at the beach! Lessons can be quite challenging because you have to flow through the postures and balance at the same time, however falling in the water is actually part of the fun, so get ready to get wet and develop amazing abs! SUP-YOGA classes depend on the sea condition, so check with us to book!

Yin Yoga

Yin classes are very relaxing lessons, aiming at stretching out the connective tissues of the body and increase concentration skills through meditation. We make extensive use of props and hold the postures comfortably for at least 5 minutes each.

Yoga for Children

Yoga for children is very different from the adult classes, since the idea is to have fun while we look at themes such as friendship, respect for the other and for the environment and so on. The postures are accompanied with stories and sometimes with fun music. Lessons are held in June-July-August upon request (minimum 4 children), or announcement are given in our Facebook page.
